How to Create an Event Stream

Admin or streamer permission is required to create an event stream.

Create and store streams for any event type, like plays, competitions, meetings, guest speakers, etc.

Multiple streaming device options are available when filling out the Livestream form. Extra steps are required to sync the stream properly to stream with an external camera instead of a mobile phone.

On a Browser

  1. Log in to the website.

  2. Click the dropdown at the top of the screen to select the desired team or tournament.

  3. From the left navigation menu, click Livestream.

  4. From the top right corner, click Create New Livestream.

  5. Fill out the Livestream form.

    • Select Hardware Camera on the Streaming Device dropdown for fixed cameras, then select the desired camera on the Camera dropdown.

  6. Click Create Livestream.

  7. To view the Stream Key and RTMP, click Show Stream Key and RTMP info.

    • The Stream Key and RTMP info are only needed if streaming with an external camera instead of a mobile device.

    • Click the copy to clipboard icon to copy the Stream Key or RTMP info.

  8. Click Okay.

On the App

  1. Download, sign up, or log in to the App.

  2. Tap My Streams.

  3. Tap the + icon > Schedule a Stream.

  4. Fill out the Livestream form.

    • Select Hardware Camera on the Streaming Device dropdown for fixed cameras, then select the desired camera on the Camera dropdown.

  5. Tap Schedule Event.

  6. The Stream Key and RTMP information for streaming with special devices is now available. If streaming with a mobile device, tap Close.

How to Stream With Hardware Cameras

Follow the steps above to create the stream using the browser or the App. Then, note the RTMP and Stream Key. If you previously made the stream, edit the event to adjust the streaming device and locate the RTMP and Stream Key information to sync.

Once you create the stream on a browser and set up the camera, follow the steps below.

With Veo

NOTE: You need a Veo Cam2 or Cam3 and an enabled Veo live-streaming package.

  1. After creating the event, take note of the Stream Key and RTMP info.

    • Under Streaming Device, select Hardware Camera.

  2. Follow the steps here to stream with a Veo camera.

With Hudl Focus

  1. After creating the event, take note of the Stream Key and RTMP info.

    • Under Streaming Device, select Hudl Focus and check via OBS or VMIX.

  2. Set up the desired streaming software:

    • Click here to view the steps on OBS.

NOTE: If you use the Hudl Production Truck, you must edit the Streaming Service to RTMP.

With GoPro and the GoPro App

To stream with a GoPro camera, you will need:

  • GoPro Camera Hero7 Black or newer model.

  • Phone with the GoPro App.

  • Wi-Fi connection.

  1. After creating the event, take note of the Stream Key and RTMP info.

With VMix or OBS

NOTE: The VMix software is available for Windows only.

  1. After creating the event, take note of the Stream Key and RTMP info.

    • Under Streaming Device, select VMix or OBS.

  2. Set up the desired streaming software:
